We Energies and Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) have introduced a brand new partnership to accumulate the remaining 150 MW of the Badger Hollow Solar Farm.
We Energies and MGE filed a joint software with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. We Energies will personal 100 MW, and MGE will personal 50 MW.
Badger Hollow can be sited close to the villages of Montfort and Cobb in Iowa County, Wis., situated within the southwestern a part of the state. The 300 MW project is being developed by Chicago-based Invenergy.
We Energies serves greater than 1.1 million electrical clients and 1.1 million pure fuel clients in Wisconsin. We Energies is the commerce identify of Wisconsin Electric Power Co. and Wisconsin Gas LLC, utility subsidiaries of WEC Energy Group Inc.

In May, MGE and Wisconsin Public Service, one other subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, obtained regulatory approval to personal a mixed complete of 150 MW at Badger Hollow. MGE will personal 50 MW, and WPS will personal 100 MW of this primary section of the project. Commercial operation of this section is predicted by the tip of 2020.
